Co-founder and Chairman of the Board and President of Sealord LLC and Sealord Holdings, Inc. The company was founded in January 1990 and five years later was publicly traded (symbol MTBN) on the NASDAQ market. In 1998, the company merged with The Zurich Group of Companies, Zurich, Switzerland. On April 4, 2003, a management-led team, including Mr. Brier, repurchased the company and began operations as Sealord LLC. 
Sealord Holdings, Inc. comprises four operating subsidiaries. First Sealord Surety, Inc. provides contract surety bonds on construction projects. The company is licensed in 39 states, is “A-“ (Excellent) rated by A.M. Best and holds a Certificate of Authority by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Broadlands Financial Group, LLC provides Broadlands Financial Group is a full-service owner’s representative and construction risk management company serving owners, developers, lenders, contractors and government agencies throughout North America, India, Europe and the Caribbean. Broadlands has successfully helped its clients ensure the on-time, on-budget delivery of more than $11.5 billion of project development over the past four years. HMS Victory, LLC provides engineering and construction services to First Sealord Surety and outside customers. HM Exchequer is a funds administration company serving both the Surety and outside customers. 
Mr. Brier retired as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2010 after serving his country for nearly 30 years. During his military career, he commanded a unit in Iraq during the First Gulf War, known as Desert Storm and was Vice President of the United States Army War College, Class of 1997, CS. 

 

 Mr. Brier earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Honors College at Ohio University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University, and a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University. He holds a Diploma in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and also served as Associate Adjunct Professor in the Marketing Department of Drexel University, Assistant Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Small Unit Tactics, and Lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Entrepreneur Program, “The Intersection of Business and Military Leadership.”
